Though not matched in image resolution, the Tamron is close in general specification and also includes fluoride coating on outer surfaces that the Sony FE 24-70mm lacks. Actually, this lens contains no such equivalent to protect against water, dirty and fingerprints. So the Tamron may be a better option if shopping on a budget.
